Day 1: arrival day, Check in at the hotel.

Tour of the capital city Tbilisi

Visit Trinity Cathedral (Second Millennium)
Old Town Church Metekhi, Sulphur bath, Narikala Fortress, Ethnographic Museum

Visit of the Museum of Arts of Georgia
Visit the Modern Monument - District Themka, City bus tour

 

Day 2: Visit Unesco Heritage, City Mtskheta Tour

Visit Monastery Jvari (the Cross)
Visit Sveticxoveli Cathedral (Pillar bracing)
Travel along the Valley of Aragvi River and Militairy Hihhway and Hydroelectrical dam.
Visit Architectural Complex Ananuri.
Transfer to Kazbegi Region.

 

Day 3: Tour of Kazbegi Region

Seeing Mount Kazbeg, soaring to height of 5047 m (If we are lucky with weather).Mount Kazbeg is the third highest and one of the best-known peaks in the Caucasus.
Visit Gergety Trinity Church - the most important altar of 14th century, located on the slope of Mount Kazbeg. Trekking 2 hours.
Optional trip to Gveleti gorge to visit waterfall.
Transfer to Meskheti Region.

 

Day 4: Tour in Historical Meskheti Province

Visit Miseum of Akhaltsikhe
Visit the old town Akhaltsikhe, Rabati
Visit the monastery of Safara
Transfer to Aspindza Region.

 

 

Day 5: Hiking in the region of Aspindza

Transfer by car 30'
Trail: Tmogvi Village, Berta Kanebi, Vanis Kvabebi, Church Tsunda
Delightful views of the village with an amazing combination of fields and forests
Length of the route - 8,500m; Length of hiking - 5h

Day 6: Hiking in the region of Aspindza

Transfer by car 20'
Trail: Fortress Khertvissi, Plateau Djavakheti, Ruins of the village, church Kvarsha, Village Gelsunda.

Day 7: Hiking in the region of Aspindza

Trail:Old hostel, Jolda Bridge, Fortress Tmogvi, Vadzia Cave Monastery.

Day 8: Hiking in the region of Aspindza

Transfer by car 15'
Trail: Nijgori Village, Saint Georges Church, Ruinesof Village, Cave Kvabis Kari,Troglodite vil.Saro.
Delightful scenario:Relief, plot,pictoresque views,secret tunnel,vegetation, fields covered with flowers
Length of the route - 6,750m; Length of trip - 6h
Max.elevation 1,440,min elevation-1,110m above sea level;Trail is medium,one passage is difficult to pass.
Transfer to Borjomi Region at the end of afternoon.

 

Day 9: Tour of Kakheti Province

Transfer to Telavi City
Visit Alexander Chavchavadze's (Kakhetian Prince) Palace or Visit King Erekle Museum.
Walking In Telavi City
Visit Alaverdi Cathedral.

 

Day 10: Tour of Kakheti Province

Visit Ikalto Academy
Visit Gremi Monastery
Visit a Wine Cellar Tchandari, Wine Tasting
Visit of Gourdjaani Kvelatsminda (All Saints Church) with its unique two domes.

 


Day 11: Tour of Kakheti Province

Visit Bodbe Monastery, Grave of Saint Nino.
Walking around the town Sighnaghi perched on a hill of Kakheti, surrounded by a fortified wall built in the middle of 18th century. A splendid view of the Alazani valley and High Caucasus.
Visit of Pirosmani (An Autodidact Painter) Museum.

 

Day 12: Tour of Kakheti Province

Visit David Gareja-The picturesque Lavra monastery, with its monk's cells carved into sandstone,a
killometre long string of caves set under the Udabno ridge,the richly frescoed caves open up on a
waste open space above a coloured sandstone desert, founded in the 6th century by Syrian monk
David of Gareji.

Tour Logistic

 

General
The above mentioned itinerary is specially designed for Psity Travel Organizer guests. All upgrades, however, such as personal guide, single accommodation, private vehicle for optional tour, entertainment etc will be available on spot.

The logistics and the draft budget are based on number of participants in the group and English-speaking tour leader from Psity Travel Ltd. The tour provides package service, including FB in countryside and HB in Tbilisi, transportation and all entrance fees to the museums (as per the itinerary).

- Meantime, the program is flexible according to special demands or remarks.

 

Accommodation
Top class hotels are only available in Tbilisi, Batumi and Gudauri, we provide guesthouse and family type hotels in other towns or villages.

 

Transportation
For airport transfers and inland transportation air-conditioned Car, 8-10 seats Minibus or Full size modern Bus will be provided - depending on a group size. And demands

Staff / Cultural Tours Guide - is a person with fluent knowledge of English / Russian/ German / French languages, history, culture and good management skills and rich experience. Guide together with Tour Operator will be in charge of Program's logistics and will be able to assisting Group members in their personal requests.

 

Food
Breakfast is included in the rates of hotels in Tbilisi, as well as in Hotels and guesthouses in countryside, where dinner is also supplied.
Lunch 3 course meals, 1 bottle of mineral water, coffee or tea. Lunch menu has to be agreed additionally and adjusted to the customers' specific needs. In single cases lunch boxes will be provided for some parts where cafes and restaurants do not exist. Lunch-pack menu contains: two kinds of sandwiches, cucumber or tomato, cake and apple.
Dinner is served either at hotel restaurant / guesthouse or at one of the restaurants in Tbilisi with charming, traditional stile interior and outstanding cuisine. Dinner will include variety of Georgian dishes.
